The 2009 Snipe World Masters could not be completed due to too much or too little wind and the inability to achieve 3 races, which is the minimum for a Championship. Despite a perfectly organized regatta, fantastic social events and hospitality beyond compare by the host club, unfortunately the only uncooperative effort was the wind.
The one race that was able to be sailed had difficulties ad there were 6 starts before the competitors could race. "I", "Z" and the beginning "P" flag were all used with the result of many being called OCS for the one and only race.
An award for the one and only race was the replacement for the prizegiving with current World Master Champion Augie Diaz with crew Kathleen Tocke winning the race.
The next World Masters will be held in September 2010 in Rio de Janeiro. We hope to see many of you there!

2nd day of racing also delayed due to too much wind. To track results and updates - click on the link to the Masters on the event page or on the regatta listed on the left side of the web page.
The first day of racing has been delayed due to the Bora rolling through. Winds of 40 knots have hit the area with rain and thunder, but forecasts have it dying down later today.
