SCIRA is saddened by the loss of 2 longtime Snipe members:  Past Commodore (1979) Flavio Caiuby of Brazil and Jessie Varalyay, wife of Lou Varalyay - builder of many Snipes in Southern California.  Our thoughts go to both families.

At the Kierskie lake held one of the most important regatta of this year in the class SNIPE in Europe. Participants are of course all the best crews from Poland and the leaders from Belgium, Great Britain and Italy. The regatta has a three-day competition formula. After two days of competition and six races the  leading positions are occupied by of our distinguished guests from Belgium and Italy.

The wind favored us, and blew with a force 2-4 BF, so the objectivity of the results should be stressed.
In addition to races at the water, there are nice events on shoar. Our hosts, friends and colleagues from the LOK club do all the best, or maybe even more to make all players that start in the regatta having a good time.

Thanks to the Zbyszek’s initiative our friends from abroad had the opportunity to see the palace in Rogalin and Kórnik and Old Brewery in Poznan, and yesterday took part in a very interesting and meeting with the Vice President of the City of Poznan.
